A Brief History of Fox Valley Bible Chapel:
The Fox Valley Bible Chapel began in the fall of 1995, when 5 families began to meet for Bible study
and to pray about God’s direction concerning the establishment of a Bible centered New Testament
church in the Fox River Valley. A small group of believers began to meet in the Name of Jesus
Christ later that year in a home in Kaukauna. After three years and the Lord’s gracious care for the
growth of this church, we started to regularly rent rooms in the Little Chute Civic Center.
We have been functioning as a local church for over a decade now with recognized elders and
teachers. Over time, we have reached out to the communities of Little Chute, Kaukauna, Kimberly,
Combined Locks, Darboy, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Green Bay with the gospel of Jesus Christ on a
number of occasions individually and through sponsoring special events. Today, by God’s grace we
are growing as a family of God together. We associate with several summer Bible Camps and have
sent some of our young people on various mission trips both in the US and abroad. We believe that
the Bible is the inspired Word of God from Genesis to Revelation. It is our sincere desire to honor
our Lord and Savior by obedience to His Word- including a desire to follow Christ’s instructions for
meeting as a local church.
Our meetings are very simple, but focused. Like the early church in Acts 2, we meet for prayer,
fellowship, teaching, and breaking of bread together. The breaking of bread is the first meeting
every Lord’s day (for believers who have shared their testimony). Teaching meetings are held on
Sunday mornings at 11:30 and every other Sunday evening (call for times). And there is a special
emphasis on prayer at our mid week meeting on Thursday evening.
You will find our doctrinal statement on the ‘Home’ tab under ‘Learning more about what we
believe’. We also have individual and family Bible studies available. We support a number of Bible
conferences together with other like-minded churches in Wisconsin, the Midwest, and nationally.
These would include conferences for the family, young people, elders and workers conferences, and
women’s conferences.
